Police sieze illegal off-road bike in Bagillt

Police in Flintshire North have seized another illegal off-road bike on Bagillt High Street, continuing their efforts to remove uninsured and unlicensed vehicles from the roads.
Despite repeated warnings via social media and community alert platforms, officers say some individuals continue to ride illegally, putting themselves and other road users at risk.
As part of Operation Tenacity, more than 20 bikes have been confiscated across Flintshire North, with officers acting on intelligence provided by the public.
A police statement explained that off-road bikes seized under Section 165 of the Road Traffic Act for having no insurance are collected and destroyed.
“This is as off-road bikes cannot be insured for use on a road and therefore, once seized, you cannot get the bike back,” officers confirmed.
Residents concerned about illegal off-road bikes are encouraged to provide information to help police address the issue.
Officers are asking for details on when and where bikes are being used, as well as the identities of those riding them.
