North Wales Police have said the post mortems into the death of two elderly residents of a house in St Asaph yesterday, November 13, have revealed that the couple died as a result of asphyxiation.

Officers were called to an address on Bishop’s Walk shortly after 8.30am, where the occupants of the property, Joseph Howard Titterton, 80 and Jackie Titterton 77, were both found dead.

Det Supt Iestyn Davies said; “While we continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the tragic deaths of this elderly couple, I would like to reassure the public that we do not believe there was any third party involvement.

“We will prepare a file for the coroner’s office on conclusion of our investigation. In the meantime we wish to extend our condolences to the family and friends of the deceased at this difficult time.”
