North Flintshire police save man after cardiac arrest

North Flintshire police officers have been praised for their swift action in saving a man’s life after he went into cardiac arrest at home.
Yesterday afternoon (Monday 24 December), officers attended a property in response to concerns raised by the man’s family.
On gaining entry, the man was found in need of urgent medical attention and subsequently suffered a cardiac arrest.
Thanks to the officers’ training in Basic Life Support and the availability of a defibrillator, they were able to perform CPR until paramedics arrived. The man is now in a stable condition.
A spokesperson for North Flintshire Police said: “Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time and with the male, wishing him a rapid recovery.”
While this was ongoing, officers were dispatched to another incident where an officer was assaulted.
“Twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, we will be here keeping our community safe and saving lives, knowing that in the process we may face abuse, assaults and dangerous situations,” a police spokesperson said.
