Enfinium has announced the launch of its 2026 Parc Adfer Community Benefit Fund, inviting applications from community groups and organisations in Flintshire and the surrounding area.

The fund will make £34,792 available to support projects close to the company’s Parc Adfer facility in Deeside, with funding aimed at initiatives that deliver environmental benefits, improve health, safety and wellbeing, or strengthen local communities.

In 2025, more than £30,000 was allocated to projects across North Wales through the fund, supporting a range of community and environmental initiatives.

Among those to receive funding was Picker Pals, an environmental education programme that was awarded £6,600 to support work with children aged six to nine.

The funding enabled 10 schools in Flintshire to take part in lessons focused on responsible waste disposal.

The Holywell Heritage Trail also received more than £2,000 to support the restoration of a section of the trail and improve its promotion through an updated brochure.

Philip Curds, Head of ESG and Sustainability at enfinium, said: “We are immensely proud of the positive change delivered through enfinium’s Parc Adfer Community Benefit Fund. In 2025, more than £30,000 was invested in North Wales communities, supporting grassroots projects that improved environmental outcomes and enhanced health, safety and wellbeing.

“We look forward to continuing this support in 2026, working alongside organisations in the communities closest to our Parc Adfer facility to help them thrive.”

Patrick Jackson, founder of Picker Pals, said: “Supporting the next generation in protecting the environment and giving them the confidence to do so is of paramount importance. With thanks to enfinium’s funding, ten schools in North Wales will now be equipped with a programme that helps to achieve this.”

The Parc Adfer Community Benefit Fund is open to community groups and organisations within a 10 mile radius of the Parc Adfer facility in Deeside.

Organisations based outside the catchment area may also apply.

Applications are welcomed from registered charities, schools, places of learning, not-for-profit companies and community organisations. Projects must demonstrate environmental benefits, improvements to health, safety and wellbeing, or positive impacts on the wider community.
