North Flintshire Police arrested two women for alleged shoplifting after a targeted operation in Flintshire today, Friday, 8 November.

Officers from the Roads Crime Unit intercepted the suspects following reports that they had stolen items from several Boots stores in the region.

Images released by police show a significant haul of health and beauty products, including Clearblue ovulation tests, nicotine replacement therapies, No7 skincare serums, and high-value supplements such as Imedeen and Viviscal.

The suspects were apprehended after their vehicle, a Vauxhall Corsa, was stopped by police.

The vehicle was found to be displaying false number plates and was uninsured, prompting officers to seize it and remove it from the scene on a transporter.

Police also posted a photograph of the Corsa being loaded onto the back of a flatbed transporter in Sydney Street, Flint.

In a social media post, an officer involved in the operation commented:

“Two females have attended a number of Boots stores and stolen items in Flintshire South today. When they wandered onto Flintshire North, they weren’t quite sure what had happened when we surrounded the vehicle. Two under arrest for shoplifting, and for good measure, we took their vehicle as it was displaying false plates and had no insurance. #Unlucky.”
