The family of a man who tragically died at the weekend in a road accident near Loggerheads Country Park have paid tribute to him.

Gerald George Jacob was killed in a collision on the A494, near Mold on Sunday 5th March.

“Gerry, as we all knew him, loved life and lived it to the full. He was to all those who were close to him a very special, popular, fun loving and outgoing gentleman.”

66-year-old Gerry, from Llanferres outside Mold, had recently retired in December 2016 and had plans to continue his life travelling with his partner Maria.

He is survived by his son Peter, daughter Sarah and two sisters Karen and Moira to whom he was very close.
