The festive spirit has been alive and well in the local area as the Deeside Round Table’s annual Santa fundraiser brought joy to the community and raised an impressive £12,582.92 over 18 nights.

This cherished tradition, which sees Santa and his sleigh touring local streets, relies on the generosity of the community and the dedication of volunteers.

Every penny raised will go back into supporting local causes in 2025 and beyond, with over £4,000 already allocated to community groups that supported this year’s event.

The funds raised through the Santa fundraiser will directly benefit local groups, ensuring the positive impact extends far beyond the holiday season.

In previous years, proceeds have supported schools, sports clubs, and initiatives aimed at enhancing the lives of Deeside residents.

In a statement, the Deeside Round Table expressed their appreciation to everyone who contributed:

“We are only able to do this each year because of the generosity and kindness of our community and the hard work and dedication of our volunteers. From all of us at Deeside Round Table, have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!”

This year’s success demonstrates the power of collective effort and the enduring magic of the festive season.

The success of this year’s event was made possible through the support of local businesses and organisations. Deeside Round Table extended heartfelt thanks to key partners:

  • Minshull Windows Ltd, for providing storage for Santa’s sleigh.
  • Thorncliffe Building Supplies Ltd, for supplying a generator free of charge.
  • GroundsWise and Actual Landscapes, for helping tow the sleigh each night.
  • David Joinson Quality Meats, for hosting a BBQ and generously donating all proceeds to the fundraiser.
