Engineering and maintenance services company Boccard UK Limited has secured a 12-year lease for a 100,000 sq ft manufacturing and warehouse facility on Tenth Avenue, Zone 3, Deeside Industrial Park.

The facility, occupying a 6.03-acre fully contained site, was let by agents Legat Owen and JLL, acting on behalf of Legal & General.

Boccard UK, a global engineering firm, is expanding its UK operations with this facility forming part of its growth strategy.

Boccard UK Managing Director Douglas McQueen stated:

“Unit 1 provides us with the platform and flexibility to expand our existing operations in the North Wales and UK market to satisfy our current customers and attract future business opportunities.”

The company is already underway with an extensive fit-out of the site, which includes implementing its digital production management system, “BocTrack.”

Refurbishments are also being carried out to tailor the facility for its manufacturing operations.

Mark Diaper, Director at Legat Owen, described the swift leasing process:

“Securing Boccard at the outset of the marketing campaign confirms the strong interest in the Deeside area from occupiers and has resulted in a limited vacancy period and minimal interruption for the Landlord.”

He added that Boccard’s investment in North Wales is a testament to the region’s skilled workforce and high-quality facilities.

Boost for Deeside’s Industrial Economy

Deeside Industrial Park, a key industrial hub since the 1970s, is one of the premier industrial locations in North Wales.

Ruth Leighton, Director at JLL, highlighted the park’s excellent transport connections, which include motorway, rail, and port links, making it an attractive location for businesses.

The site’s new lease follows Boccard UK’s significant presence in the region, including its facility at Airbus Broughton, where the company manufactures components for the nuclear industry.

These include high-integrity piping systems, supports, and vessels for projects such as the Hinkley Point C nuclear power station, the UK’s first in 20 years.

Founded in 1918 in France, Boccard remains a family-owned business, now led by Bruno and Patrick Boccard.

The company operates globally across various sectors, with its North Wales facilities set to play a key role in advancing nuclear technologies, including emerging small modular reactors and advanced reactor systems.
