Armed robbery in Prestatyn – Police appeal for witnesses

Police are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery at the Londis convenience store on Ffordd Isa in Prestatyn. ‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​

The robbery happened at around 5.35pm today, Friday 16th November, when two men entered the store and threatened the staff, before making off with a quantity of cash in the direction of Prestatyn town centre. ‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​

One man is described as wearing a grey coloured tracksuit and the other was wearing a dark blue hoody and dark blue quarter length shorts. Both had covering over their faces. ‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​

Detective Sergeant Paul Terry said: “The shop assistant has been left shocked by the incident but thankfully no-one was injured. We are appealing to anyone who was in the vicinity at the time or who may have seen someone acting suspiciously in the area to contact police.” ‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​

“Our enquiries are ongoing and officers are keen to hear from anyone who believes they have any dashcam footage which may be relevant to the investigation.” ‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​
