Weather: LEVEL 2 HEATWAVE ALERT!! but not for us… we will get wet though!

A level 2 Heat Alert has been issued by the Met Office for parts of England, from the South East to the Midlands.

Temperatures in the in those central and southern areas are expected to reach 30C on Friday, with the Met Office predicting a ‘60% probability of heatwave conditions between 0800 on Friday and 0800 on Sunday’

Temperatures today are expected to reach around 22C (71.6F) on Deeside, Friday could see highs of 28C (82.4F) according to the map below.

For those heading south over the next couple of days, Public Health England are warning people to keep an eye on the very young, the very old and people with chronic diseases during the increase in temperatures.

A YELLOW ALERT of rain has also been issued by the Met Office for late Friday evening and into Saturday, heavy thundery showers  are expected over north Wales on the back of the hot weather, they could turn into torrential down pours with frequent lightning and potential flooding, the warning also says strong gusts and ;large hail, it doesn’t say we will get snow thankfully!
