Two youths questioned over ‘nasty assault’ on teen which led to fears of ‘gang’ fight in Deeside at the weekend

Officers from South Flintshire policing team say there were no reported incidents over the weekend involving gangs of youths in Deeside.
North Wales Police implement a 48-hour dispersal order in parts of Shotton and Hawarden over the weekend following reports gangs of youths, some possibly armed with knives are planning a gang fight.
Police said on Friday reports had emerged of a planned fight following a ‘nasty assault’ on a 14-year-old boy in Ewloe last Monday, police intelligence led officers to believe two groups of youths were planning a fight on Gladstone playing field in Hawarden or ‘a park’ near Green Lane in Shotton.
Police have said that two youths have been questioned over the alleged assault on the teenager in Ewloe last Monday.
A Spokesperson for South Flintshire police said;
‘Thanks to all shares on Facebook and bringing it to everyone’s attention. There were no issues in the either the South Flintshire or North Flintshire areas. Two young people have been detained and interviewed regarding the assault on the 14-year-old boy and there will be more arrests to follow.’
