Two people have been taken to hospital following a road traffic collision in Hawarden this morning, Friday, 20th October.

The incident occurred on the B5125 Chester Road around 7.20am between Hawarden Farm Shop and Manor Lane.

Police, the Welsh Ambulance Service, and the North Wales Fire and Rescue Service all attended the scene.

A spokesperson for the Welsh Ambulance Service stated they were called today “at approximately 7.23am to reports of a road traffic collision in the Hawarden area.”

They dispatched three rapid response vehicles and two emergency ambulances to the location with the support of the Emergency Medical Retrieval and Transfer Service.

“Two patients were conveyed by road to the Royal Stoke University Hospital in Stoke for further treatment.”

Latest traffic report for the area states, “The road was closed with queuing traffic due to accident investigation work on the B5125 Chester Road in both directions between Hawarden Farm Shop and Manor Lane. The incident took place around 07:30 this morning, resulting in the road’s closure.”
