Thieves caught on CCTV targeting houses in the Highcroft area of Shotton and stealing two bikes

Police are appealing for help in tracking down thieves who stole two bicycles from a property in Shotton.

The crooks were caught on one residents CCTV system early on Wednesday morning in the Highcroft area of Shotton.

Camera’s picked up images of two people outside houses on the quiet residential road which is just off Shotton Lane, at around 4.20am.

One video clip shows a person clambering over the side wall of a house into the garden looking for property to steal.

In another clip one intruder, who looks to be wearing disposable overshoes so as not leave any incriminating footprints, is clearly seen shining a torch through the window of an outbuilding as the pair hunt for high value items.

Residents at one house on Highcroft had the hinges of their shed removed and two bikes stolen, a white Viking Race bike and a blue GIANT mountain bike (frame number is GD9G0577)

The bikes are:

A GT Pantera Gents mountain bike.

An Ironhorse full suspension mountain bike with silver frame.

A Graham Weigh road bike with red seat and silver frame.
