As the COVID-19 pandemic continued to spread, it was vital to keep ourselves and loved ones, as well as other people around us, safe and healthy. That was why people stocked up hand sanitizers and disinfectants to avert the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic.

But as the virus continued to spread and time moved on, there was an increasing demand for alcohol sanitizers. So, how did alcohol supplier service providers adapt to meet the high demand during the COVID-19 pandemic? Let’s read on to learn more.

Early Preparations

When news of the Coronavirus pandemic outbreak first came out, towards the Chinese New Year end in late January, alcohol suppliers felt like they were responding to emergency calls. Most of them knew that, as businesses, they could do something to help control the spread and that speed was of great significance.

Within a day, most alcohol suppliers had set up fully empowered teams. And they started working out how they could ramp up alcohol sanitizer production immediately.

Support from Third-Parties

The first priority was to address the needs of the COVID-19 source, which in this case was China. Within days, most alcohol suppliers extended the remit worldwide so that they could try their best to meet the increasing demand on a large scale if the spread escalated.

Many suppliers contacted multiple third parties to see if they could offer any help. Since they couldn’t send their teams to these third parties to visit their factories, they utilized virtual reviews to assess risk factors and quickly added multiple sites to their production lists.

At the last count, these alcohol supplier services providers managed to have third-party partners across the world, from Italy and Canada, Mexico and Malaysia to South Africa and Australia and dozens more states.

Also, they adapted some sites to provide sanitizers and learned from the professionals in their deodorant business to unearth more about working with highly flammable liquids.

A Plan to Move Quickly

Successful alcohol suppliers had a very clear goal – increasing the production and supply of hand sanitizers to meet a huge surge in demand. This goal galvanized all individuals involved into action.

Across their diverse teams, they agreed on the perfect framework that provided them with much-needed freedom to make informed decisions faster and deploy enough expertise where required.

Also, they had some compromises in place. As long as their products could fulfill WHO’s standards of at least 60% content of ethanol in sanitizers, many suppliers decided that they couldn’t worry about bottle designs and shapes.

They knew that when priority meets demand, the look of the products doesn’t matter. Tapping into their respective international great networks for distribution also allowed alcohol suppliers to act quickly and combat the high demand.

Even though COVID-19 is becoming a thing of the past, people and organizations still use alcohol products. Most of them are still using alcohol hand sanitizers to meet authority requirements. If you’re after any alcohol product, whether hand sanitizer or any other, be sure to partner with a top-rated alcohol supplier.
