Deeside Dragons ice hockey team will be sporting a stunning new look when they make their debut in next season’s Moralee Conference.

The Deeside Leisure Centre based Dragon’s lifted silverware for the first time in 23 years gaining promotion from the Laidler Conference in March.

The team has now revealed a cracking new team logo created by Bryan Shuttleworth of Simple Creative.

The new badge doesn’t feature the clubs geographical tie to Deeside which, from a bit of research, seems to be fairly common for ice hockey team logo’s.

A post on the Deeside Dragon’s Facebook page explain a bit more behind behind the new badge:

‘After switching from the Flintshire Freeze for the 2012/13 season the Dragons became one of the stronger teams in the newly named NiHL2, regularly challenging for top spot. Having established ourselves as the Dragons over the past 4 seasons and gaining promotion into the Moralee Conference we wanted to create a new look that was reflective of our modern day club.’

The Dragons are currently working hard to secure sponsorship for the new season.
