Updated: SP Energy Networks has said there is a power cut in the CH7 postcode area of Buckley.

“Restoration is taking longer than expected because of investigations and repairs that will be needed to our overhead line network near to Drury Lane and our team are now working to get your electricity supply back on as quickly and as safely as possible by 6:45 PM.”

Earlier report: Residents and businesses in the CH7 postcode area of Flintshire are currently experiencing an unexpected power outage.

SP Energy Networks has reported that the power cut was necessitated by an emergency shutdown for safety reasons, triggered at approximately 1:32 pm today.

The cause of the emergency shutdown has been identified as a grounded overhead cable; according to SP Energy Networks’ website, the area affected is between Pinfold Lane Industrial Estate and Mold Road, Alltami.

SP Energy Networks says it has dispatched a team of engineers who are working on-site to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.

The company has announced an estimated restoration time of 3:45 pm. However, they have also noted that this timeline may be subject to change depending on the progress of the repair work.

Understanding the inconvenience caused by such unexpected disruptions, SP Energy Networks has said: “We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.”
