Pontefract man in court today charged with drink driving after van found in Ewloe ditch

Police in North Wales made several arrests for alleged drink and drug offences over the weekend, following calls from the public.

The arrests were made at various locations, including on the A55 at Ewloe Green, two in Bangor, and in Wrexham.

Some of those arrested have already been charged, while others are waiting for further test results.

Among those charged is a 30-year-old man from Pontefract, whose van was found in a ditch on the A55 at Ewloe Green shortly before midnight on Saturday 11th March.

He has been charged with drink driving and is scheduled to appear before Mold Magistrates today, Monday, April 13th.

North Wales Roads Policing Unit has urged members of the public to report anyone they know who drives under the influence of drink or drugs, emphasising that doing so is the right thing to do.

Police have thanked those who reported the incidents, stating that the information provided by the public was crucial in helping them tackle dangerous driving on the roads.
