Police warn motorists to slow down in rain following two incidents on the A55

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The westbound carriageway of the A55 has now reopened following an earlier closure due to an overturned van.

A red van ended up on its side near junction 33, Northop just after 7am.

One lane was closed as fire and ambulance crews attended the scene.

Three people have been taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital with minor injuries.

The carriageway was fully closed for a period of time to allow for recovery of the van, it has now fully reopened.

Police also say there was a second collsion on the A55 which closed the eastbound entry slip road at J27 St Asaph.

Latest traffic report says;

A55 Eastbound entry slip road re-opened, overturned vehicle removed at J27 A525 The Roe (St Asaph).
