Police investigating amid reports of “man behaving suspiciously” in Hawarden

Police are investigating after reports of a man behaving suspiciously in the Hawarden area.

It is reported a man exposed himself whilst driving a blue van past two young girls who were walking along Bennett’s Lane, Hawarden at around 3.30pm on Wednesday 9 October.

Shortly after 8.30am this morning, NWP South Flintshire received a further report that the same van was seen again on Bennett’s Lane.

Flintshire South area Inspector Iwan Jones said: “A number of enquiries are ongoing into the reports, and patrols have been increased in the area for reassurance purposes.

“We are also aware of comments made on social media in relation to the reports and would kindly ask people not to use social platforms for the purpose of speculation around individuals.

“Anyone with information should contact us on 101, or via the website using the link, using reference number 24000863068.”
