Police in Mold say it was a ‘proactive’ night on Sunday after finding a man wanted for a ‘string’ of break-ins

Officers from South Flintshire policing team said they had a ‘proactive night’ on Sunday after detaining a male reported to be acting suspiciously.

Police in Mold located the man hiding near a wall, he was found to be carrying a crowbar, safe and small amount of drugs.

In an update on their Facebook page a spokesperson for South Flintshire policing team said:

“Proactive night for #rota1 officers tonight.

Report of a male acting suspiciously in Mold resulted in us locating a male hiding by a wall in possession of a crowbar, safe and small amount of drugs.

Enquiries revealed that a local shop had been broken into.

The male was also wanted for a string of similar offences across Flintshire.”
