Police appeal for witnesses following serious collision on A55 near Broughton

North Wales Police have launched an appeal for witnesses following a crash which closed a section of the A55 in Flintshire for nearly seven hours.

The collision on the westbound carriageway of the A55 involved a silver Vauxhall Corsa.

It happened just after 6.15pm on Friday evening near exit slip road for Junction 36a.

Two people were reported to have been taken to hospital following the crash.

Police have said the driver of the Vauxhall Corsa suffered serious injuries.

The road reopened at around 1am this morning, Saturday December 29.
