Overnight repairs will see A55 in Flintshire close westbound for one night next week.

Scheduled essential patching works on the A55 between Junction 31 (J31) Caerwys and Junction 29 (J29) Pant y Dylaith are set to commence on May 30 and conclude on May 31.

The works are part of a larger initiative to maintain road safety and ensure efficient traffic flow.

The repairs will specifically target the westbound carriageway from J31.

The roadworks are set to last one night, beginning on the evening of May 30 and ending on the morning of May 31.

In order to minimise disruption to traffic, the works are being carried out overnight when traffic flows are historically lower.

However, motorists will need to be aware of a temporary diversion which will be put in place.

Traffic will be redirected off the A55 westbound carriageway at J31 Caerwys, continuing on to the A5151, then the A547 Rhuddlan, before rejoining the A55 at J27 St Asaph via the A525.

Motorists are being advised to plan ahead, allowing extra time for their journeys, and to follow the signed diversion.

The aim is to ensure the essential works can be carried out quickly and safely, with minimal disruption to regular traffic flow.
