Officers from the North Wales Police Intercept Team successfully stopped a vehicle near Deeside last night, following concerns that the driver may have been under the influence of alcohol.

The driver was subsequently found to be over twice the legal drink drive limit, leading to their arrest and an upcoming court appearance.

A spokesperson for the Intercept Team said: “Officers from the North Wales Police Intercept team stopped this vehicle near Deeside last night after concerns the driver may have been drink driving.”

“Once the vehicle was stopped it was clear that the driver had been indulging in drinks which don’t go hand in hand with driving.”

“A subsequent reading of 79 in Hotel Heddlu (over twice the drink drive limit,) no doubt left the driver time to reflect on the fact that it wasn’t the officers who did this to her.”

“She was the one who chose to drink drive so must now face the consequences.”
