Hannah Blythyn, member of the Senedd for Delyn, has teamed up with Flintshire Local Voluntary Council (FLVC) to host a Funding Fair at the Daniel Owen Community Centre, Mold, on October 18th, 2024.

The Funding Fair is an opportunity for local groups and organisations to get the very best funding advice for projects or for their organisations.

Organisations sending representatives to the Funding Fair include FLVC, the Arts Council of Wales, the National Lottery Community Fund and Heritage Fund, Cadwyn Clwyd, the Wales Council for Voluntary Action (WCVA), Sport Wales, the Steve Morgan Foundation, the National Churches Trust and Business Wales, as well as the Police And Community Trust (PACT) and the North Wales Police & Crime Commissioner.

The event takes place at the Daniel Owen Community Centre, Earl Road, Mold CH7 1AP, 10am to 1.30pm.

Hannah Blythyn MS said: “This funding fair is a really great opportunity for voluntary or third sector organisations or groups in Flintshire to get some excellent and helpful advice on how to access funding for their projects.

“Accessing funding isn’t always easy and many of these organisations rely on grants and other funding streams to continue the great work they do in our communities.

“I hope this funding fair will go some way to help them get hold of the money they need to do their vitally-important work.”

Tessa Willow, Third Sector Development Manager at Flintshire Local Voluntary Council, said: “FLVC is delighted to be collaborating with Hannah Blythyn MS and her team to deliver this funding fair for Flintshire groups.

“One of the core services that every local voluntary council provides is information, advice and support on sustainable funding for voluntary and community organisations.

“FLVC staff will be on hand, along with advisors from more than a dozen different funding organisations, to provide information on potential funding sources – and we look forward to seeing people there.”
