Supermarket chain Morrisons is recalling its Tomato and Chilli Pasta Sauce due to an incorrect label that fails to mention the presence of pepperoni and milk. ‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

The Food Standards Agency has issued an allergy alert over the incorrect labelling due to the product containing milk. ‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

This poses a potential health risk for individuals with allergies or intolerances to milk or milk-based ingredients. ‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Morrisons Tomato and Chilli Pasta Sauce is marked as being vegetarian but as part of the recall notice the supermarket chain has disclosed the batch under question also contains pepperoni which is a pork and beef base product. ‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Morrisons has advised customers to return the product to the store of purchase for a full refund and has also issued point-of-sale notices to alert customers of the recall. ‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

The Food Standards Agency has issued an Allergy Alert in response to this risk. ‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

If you have purchased the affected product and have an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk-based ingredients, do not consume it and instead return it for a refund. ‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

The recall related to the 350g Morrisons Tomato and Chilli Pasta Sauce, use by date 25th January. ‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
