Man arrested after a firearm was discharged in Kinnerton

North Wales Police have arrested a 63 year old Kinnerton man following the discharge of a firearm in the early hours of Monday morning.

There were reports a large police presence and ambulances spotted in the area.

A number of police cars were parked at a property at the south end of the long straight out of Kinnerton towards Hope, Kinnerton Road was blocked off as the Police helicopter searched for the suspect.

North Wales Police said they believed a firearm was discharged in the early hours of this morning in the vicinity of Kinnerton Road, Kinnerton

They say

“Officers are currently liaising with Cheshire Police to locate a man in relation to the incident.

“A number of lines of inquiry are currently being followed to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.”

Police later said 

“A 63 -year-old man, local to the Kinnerton area, has today been arrested in relation to the incident in Kinnerton.
