Alyn & Deeside MP, Mark Tami and his Welsh Assembly colleague, Carl Sargeant AM, have launched their annual Christmas card competition.

They have invited pupils from all infant, primary and junior schools in Alyn & Deeside to submit their Christmas card design and the winning design will be used as the politicians Christmas card.

Mark Tami MP said,

‘I am delighted to once again be launching the Christmas card competition. The standard improves every year and I am sure this year will be the same.’

The card is then sent to local businesses, volunteer groups and politicians, including the First Minister, Carwyn Jones.

Carl Sargeant AM said,

‘It’s hard to believe it’s that time of year again already, but I’m really looking forward to going through the designs, which never fail to impress.’

Last year the winning design was by Ellie Windel from Mountain Lane Primary School, Buckley featuring a variety of Christmas features.

Schools need to send in their designs no later than the 30th October 2013 and for any enquiries please contact Mark Tami MP on 01244 819854.
