Local Deeside politicians launch their annual Christmas card competition

Alyn & Deeside MP, Mark Tami and his Welsh Assembly colleague, Carl Sargeant AM, have launched their annual Christmas card competition. ‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​

They have invited pupils from all infant, primary and junior schools in Alyn & Deeside to submit their Christmas card design and the winning design will be used as the politicians Christmas card. ‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​

Mark Tami MP said, ‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​

‘I am delighted to once again be launching the Christmas card competition. The standard improves every year and I am sure this year will be the same.’ ‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​

The card is then sent to local businesses, volunteer groups and politicians, including the First Minister, Carwyn Jones. ‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​

Carl Sargeant AM said, ‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​

‘It’s hard to believe it’s that time of year again already, but I’m really looking forward to going through the designs, which never fail to impress.’ ‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​

Last year the winning design was by Ellie Windel from Mountain Lane Primary School, Buckley featuring a variety of Christmas features. ‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​
