Flintshire Retail Park expanding to meet growing demand for trade counters
A property development company has announced plans to repurpose part of Flintshire Retail Park in response to growing demand for trade counter space in the region.
In the first phase of the project, Hollins Murray Group (HMG) will construct three new units, which will make up Flint Trade Zone on the retail park next to the A548 main coastal road.
HMG already owns Flintshire Retail Park, which is home to various retail outlets such as ASDA, Sainsbury’s, B&M, Peacocks, and a new development for Home Bargains and The Food Warehouse.
The park is also located close to other facilities, such as the Jade Jones Pavilion Leisure Centre.
The new units, set to be ready for occupation in March 2023, are expected to attract businesses looking for a well-connected location in a thriving retail destination.
Josh Moores of Hollins Murray Group said: “Having enjoyed some success with Flintshire Retail Park, which is a valuable asset for the area, we’re looking to change the use of some of the space to meet the occupier requirements we are seeing in the market.”
“We’re a long-term landlord and have continually invested in the site to ensure it maintains a competitive edge over other locations.”
Legat Owen is instructed as the sole agent. Mark Diaper, director in industrial agency, said that the demand is clear:
“These units will appeal to businesses looking for a location that is well-connected in an already established business and retail destination.”
