Flintshire households currently without water due to burst water main

A burst water main has left some households in Broughton, Bretton and Saltney without running water this morning.

Dee Valley Water also say residents over the border in Handbridge and Lache are also affected by the same issue.

The company say their engineers have located the problem and are in the process of isolating the section leaking in order to restore supplies to those properties affected.

There also reports of no water in Penymynydd, Penyffordd, Higher Kinnerton, Hope and surrounding area, it’s unknown if this is related to the same burst water main or a separate issue.

DVW inspectors are investigating the issue and are looking at present for the leak.

On return of the water supply it may be discoloured DVW say, If this occurs run water until clear at the cold kitchen tap.
