Final plans in place for Connah’s Quay Festival at Wepre Park this Saturday

News and Info from Deeside, Flintshire, North Wales

Final preparations are under way for the Connah’s Quay Festival at Wepre Park, with North Wales Police visiting the site on Tuesday to go over the layout ahead of Saturday’s event.

Sergeant Dave Smith, of North Wales Police’s north Flintshire team, said the festival is shaping up well.

He said: “It’s shaping up to be a fantastic event, and a huge credit goes to everyone involved in the planning and organisation.”

The festival takes place on Saturday 27 June, with free entry and an official opening at 11am.

Connah’s Quay Town Council is organising the day, which includes live music, Sharlands Fun Fair, a dog show, live wrestling from Basix Pro Wrestling and a refreshments marquee run by the Deeside Round Table.

Sergeant Smith paid tribute to the volunteers making the event possible.

He said: “A special thank you to all the volunteers who will be giving their time on the day – events like this simply wouldn’t happen without your dedication and support.”

Entry is free and further information is available from Connah’s Quay Town Council at [email protected].
