Festive 'sprinkling' of snow forecast for boxing day as Met Office issue a yellow alert

It looks like we could be in for a bit of festive snow after all this Christmas, the Met Office have issued a yellow alert for sleet and snow around the Flintshire region.

The Met Office say:
An area of rain, sleet and snow is expected to spread eastwards across parts of Northern Ireland, England and Wales during Boxing Day before clearing during the evening and overnight. A lot of uncertainty surrounds how much snow will occur, but there is the risk of several centimetres even at low levels.
As precipitation clears, roads could turn very icy.
The public should be aware of the potential for disruption from snow. Please watch for updates to this warning. especially if travelling.
The local Deeside forecast shows heavy sleet from 6pm onwards on Boxing day.
The North West of Engalns and most of Wales could be affected by snow the warning states.
