A roundabout in Ewloe will stay partly closed until 25 May as work continues on a £900,000 Active Travel scheme, with drivers diverted via Wood Lane.

The St David’s Park Road arm of St David’s roundabout was shut to traffic from 8am on 5 May and is due to reopen at 8am on 25 May, weekdays only.

Flintshire County Council said no access on to or off the roundabout from St David’s Road is permitted during the closure, and that local businesses remain open as usual.

The work is the next phase of the Ewloe Active Travel Scheme, which is being delivered by the council with Welsh Government funding.

On the A548 at Deeside Industrial Park, lane closures are in place from Monday 11 May to Friday 15 May.

The works cover the DIP Interchange, Parkway roundabout, Toyota roundabout and Broken Bank roundabout, and are listed by the council as highways maintenance.

Further west along the same route, lane closures and two-way temporary lights will run on the A548 between Hamilton Oil roundabout and Tan Lan at Ffynnongroyw from 14 to 22 May, with telecoms work also affecting the eastbound Ffynnongroyw bypass.

In Flint, Elm Avenue is closed for gas works until 29 May, with three-way lights on Old London Road until 15 May.

Bagillt Road remains closed for gas mains work until 18 May.

On the B5129 Chester Road West in Shotton, four-way temporary lights are in operation as part of a longer-running Active Travel improvement scheme that is scheduled to run until 12 September.

Old Aston Hill, between Hawarden and Ewloe, has three-way temporary lights for gas works from 11 to 15 May.

In Drury, Drury Lane is closed for gas work until 15 May, and on Gladstone Way in Hawarden three-way lights are in place until 12 May for construction.

In Mold, three-way lights are running on the A541 at Rhydymwyn from 12 to 14 May, on Bromfield Lane until 13 May, and on Ffordd Nercwys until 13 May for water works.

Factory Pool Lane in Mold remains closed for construction until 31 March 2027.

In Buckley, two-way lights are in place on Liverpool Road on 12 and 13 May for water works.

In Penyffordd, Hawarden Road is closed from 11 to 15 May for electrical works, and Wrexham Road at Caergwrle will have two-way lights from 13 to 15 May.

Further north, road closures are in place between Rhos Farm junction and Croes Wian crossroads at Caerwys from 6 to 13 May, on Ffordd Pennant at Maes Pennant and on Mertyn Lane in Carmel, both running from 11 to 15 May.

Queen Street in Deeside is closed for gas works until 22 May.
