Deeside Hustings: Your chance to ‘grill’ National Assembly Candidates

The Flintshire division of the NUT – the countries largest teaching union, are holding a hustings event at John Summers High School this Friday.

The event will be focussed on Education and what better place to hold it than in a school threatened with closure.

Candidates confirmed at the event include Martin Bennewith Wales Green Party, Jacqueline Hurst Plaid Cymru, Mark Isherwood Welsh Conservatives, Carl Sargeant Welsh Labour, Aled Roberts Welsh Lib Dems and a UKIP candidate who is yet to be confirmed.

Neil Foden from the NUT will also be on the panel, the event will be chaired by Beth Davies, a former Headteacher and current member of the NUT National Executive Committee.

The event is open to all members of the public, tea and coffee will be available from 5pm with the debate starting at 6pm on Friday.
