Cyclist seriously injured in collision near Mold on Wedensday

A cyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries following a collision with a car at Maes y Wern in Gwernymynydd.

The incident took place at around 2.30pm on Wednesday, an Air Ambulance was seen attending the collusion, it was not used as the man was taken by road to Wrexham Maelor Hospital.

One person who witnessed the aftermath said they saw a road bike on the floor and a badly crushed bonnet on a car, the man “looked in a bad way”

A spokesperson for the Welsh Ambulance service said;

We were called at approximately 2.30pm on Wednesday 5 July to reports of a road traffic collision between a car and a motorcyclist on Maes y Wern, Gwernymynydd.
We sent the Wales Air Ambulance and a crew in an emergency ambulance and a man was taken by road to Wrexham Maelor Hospital with serious injuries.
