North Wales Police have confirmed the body of an elderly female they believe to be a missing Flintshire pensioner has been found

81 year old Joy Worrall was last seen leaving her home address in Rhes Y Cae, between Pentre Halkyn and Rhosesmor just after 4pm on Wednesday.

A message from Chief Inspector Jon Bowcott

“It is with great sadness that I am able to confirm that Police and members of the North East Wales Search and rescue team looking for Joy Worrall have found the body of an elderly female.

Joy’s family have been informed of the discovery and are being supported by officers from North Wales Police.

I would like to thank all of the officers, staff and volunteers who have worked tirelessly over the last 24 hours. I would also like to thank the public for their support in sharing our social media posts and physically searching for Joy.

Whilst the identity of the deceased is not yet confirmed, we are not conducting further searches at this time, and I would finally ask that the family’s privacy is respected at this difficult time”.
