Arrests and ASB top busy weekend for North Flintshire officers

North Flintshire’s policing team responded to 113 incidents over the weekend, including several arrests and a range of domestic, safety and anti-social behaviour calls.
In a weekend summary shared by local officers, it was revealed that 16 of the incidents were graded as P0 emergencies, which required officers to attend with lights and sirens.
Among the incidents, there were seven domestic-related callouts and two instances of concern for safety. Police also recorded 10 reports of anti-social behaviour.
Officers made four arrests during the weekend. Two were for assault – including one against a police officer – with another connected to a domestic incident. One person was arrested on suspicion of drug driving, while another was detained for drink driving.
Police said 48 incidents were passed to their system for full write-ups, with 20 recorded as crimes.
In a light-hearted nod to the season, officers noted that while shoplifting levels remain steady, there has been a noticeable dip since Christmas – though Easter-related thefts are now making an appearance.

“We’re currently seeing a lot of Easter bunnies stealing Easter eggs,” the update joked.
No incidents are expected to have a wider impact on the local community, police confirmed.
Among the weekend’s highlights was the work of Police Dog Tag, who assisted in a burglary investigation.
Officers said PD Tag tracked a suspect from a vehicle where they had decamped, leading them straight to the individual’s front door.
Residents are encouraged to report non-emergency concerns via the North Wales Police website or by calling 101.
