Airbus Broughton welcomes record number of apprentices, graduates, and interns as part of the 2023 intake
Airbus Broughton site has welcomed a record 279 apprentices, graduates, and interns as part of the 2023 intake, the highest number of Early Careers new starters in more than a decade.
The record intake highlights the company’s commitment to nurturing new talent and innovation in the aviation industry.
Jerome Blandin, Airbus Head of Broughton site, expressed his enthusiasm about the record intake.
“It’s fantastic to have a record intake of Early Careers starters at our Airbus Broughton site this year,” he said.
Over the past ten years, Airbus Broughton has employed nearly 4,000 graduates, apprentices, and interns, contributing significantly to the growth and development of the industry.
This summer’s intake has already shown a commendable zeal for the aviation sector.
“They have hit the ground running with their enthusiasm for the aviation industry,” Mr Blandin added, expressing optimism for the young talent to bring new perspectives to Airbus’s operations.
Joshua Kelley, an intern in the Airbus Broughton team, shared his excitement about joining Airbus.
Viewing it as a real privilege, Joshua is eager to hone his skills and gain diverse experience working at various levels within the company.
“Having the opportunity to join Airbus as an intern is a real privilege. I see it as a place where, over the course of the year, I can really hone my skills and get experience in a variety of situations, working with people on a local, national and transnational level. I’m stoked to be part of the Broughton team!”
Airbus offers a wide range of apprenticeship schemes and internships in various fields including Engineering Manufacturing, Electronic degrees, Technical and Craft programmes, and more.
The opportunities extend to numerous areas such as engineering, IT and Telecoms, Procurement and Supply Chain, Business Management and Development, Human Resources, Finance, Communications and Political Affairs, Marketing and Sales, and Cyber Security, among others.
Applications for graduate and internships are now live, with apprenticeship applications opening on 2 October, providing more opportunities for aspiring individuals to join the Airbus family and contribute to the future of aviation.
