Update: While the slip road has reopened, the chicken debris remains strewn along the carriageway by the roundabout.

Earlier report: Motorists in Queensferry are facing disruptions as the eastbound slip road at the A494 interchange is currently closed following a shed load of chicken carcasses.

Photographs posted on social media show pictures of chicken and offal strewn across the road at the Asda roundabout.

A further load of chicken ‘debris’ has been shed outside the Two Sisters chicken processing plant in Sandycroft.

Traffic Wales said the A494 “eastbound slip road at Queensferry interchange is currently closed due to a large amount of debris on the road.

Crews are en route to clear the area.”
