Severe delays following accident and closure of the A55 between junctions 31 and 32

Saturday 15.14: The A55 between was closed  for over an hour and a half this afternoon following an accident involving a lorry and a motorcycle.

The accident happened between J32, Holywell and J31, Caerwys, at Brynford.

It is believed a female with serious injuries was flown to University of North Staffordshire Hospital while a male was taken by ambulance to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd.

The A55 appears to be reopen however traffic is still heavy in the area
