Emergency services responding to an incident in Shotton

Emergency services have been responding to an incident in Shotton this evening.

An Air Ambulance was spotted landing on the rugby fields behind the train station at around 6.20pm.

Deborah told us; ‘Seven police cars passed me on the main road from Connah’ Quay to Shotton.’

Several people reported seeing emergency services near Bridge Street in Shotton.

One local resident said the Air Ambulance near to his house, he saw four police cars by Shotton Train Station, eight police cars and three ambulances in next street.

He also saw four armed response police walking by railway station with “guns out heading towards river”

Nici commented on out Facebook page;

“8 police cars on Bridge St along with 2 ambulances. 2 police cars on Alexander St. Air ambulance just took off. Bridge St is cordonded off.”

The air ambulance was seen taking off from the fields at 6.55pm heading towards Stoke on Trent, A & E.

Police are yet to comment on the nature of the incident.
