Two arrested in Mold following vehicle theft reports

Two men, aged 27 and 40, have been arrested on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle and interference with a motor vehicle following reports of alleged incidents in Mold overnight.

South Flintshire Local Policing Team confirmed that the incidents were reported to have occurred in the Tai Maes, Hafod Alyn, and Bridge Street areas between 1am and 5.30am on Wednesday, 11 December 2024.

Sergeant Kerry Nash has appealed to residents for assistance in the ongoing investigation.

“I am asking residents with CCTV footage of anyone acting suspiciously in the above areas between the hours of 1am and 5.30am this morning to make contact with us,” she said.

She added: “I am also appealing to anyone who has noticed discarded items in these areas which look out of place to get in touch.”

Residents are urged to ensure their vehicles are locked and secure at night following the incidents.

Anyone with information or footage can contact the police via their website or by calling 101, quoting reference number Q186084.

Preventative Advice

Police are reminding residents to take precautions to protect their vehicles, including:

  • Ensuring vehicles are locked and windows are closed.
  • Removing valuable items from vehicles overnight.
  • Reporting any suspicious activity immediately.
