Storyhouse to host Friends musical in March

FRIENDS! The Musical Parody will be staged at Storyhouse in Chester from 30 March to 4 April 2026 as part of a UK tour.

The show is based on the American television series Friends and promises audiences a comedic take on moments from all 10 seasons.

The production will run at Storyhouse on Hunter Street, with tickets priced between £24.50 and £48.50, or £22.05 to £43.65 for Storyhouse Members.

Described as featuring an original musical score, the show follows the characters Rachel, Ross, Monica, Chandler, Joey and Phoebe as they navigate life and relationships in 1990s New York.

The cast includes Enzo Benvenuti as Ross, Alicia Belgarde as Monica, Daniel Parkinson as Chandler, Eva Hope as Rachel, Ronnie Burden as Joey and Amelia Atherton as Phoebe.

Edward Leigh plays Gunther, Tom Sellick and Paolo.

The wider cast includes Lottie Lester, Meg Darcy, Jared Thompson and Harry Mallaghan.

The production is presented by Mark Goucher, Matthew Gale and Oskar Eiriksson in association with the Barn Theatre, Cirencester.

It is directed by Michael Gyngell, whose previous credits include The Full Monty, Yes Prime Minister, The Play What I Wrote and When Harry Met Sally.

The book and lyrics are by Bob and Tobly McSmith, with music by Assaf Gleizner.

Set and lighting design is by Andrew Exeter, sound design by Chris Whybrow and costumes by Jennie Quirk.

Wigs, hair and make-up are by Craig Forrest-Thomas.

Music is arranged by Charles Olins with musical supervision by Mark Crossland.

Choreography is by Myles Brown, Ian West is intimacy director, accents and characterisation are by Jessica Martin and casting is by Mark Frankum.
