Storm Jocelyn: Yellow warning for strong wind in Flintshire

As the winds ease and the cleanup continues following Storm Isha, Met Eireann has named Storm Jocelyn.
Storm Jocelyn is set to bring strong winds and rain to Northern Ireland and much of Britain.
A robust jet stream is propelling another large-scale, low-pressure system from the Atlantic across northern Scotland, resulting in wet and windy weather from Tuesday night into Wednesday for the northern half of the country.
Yellow wind warnings are in effect for Flintshire from 4 pm on Tuesday to 1 pm on Wednesday.
Met Office Chief Meteorologist Steve Willington commented, “Although this system will be less severe compared to Storm Isha, with ongoing damage and cleanup, we could see further impacts from Storm Jocelyn.
Heavy rain on Tuesday could lead to rainfall accumulations of 15 to 20 mm widely, and 40 to 50 mm over higher ground in southwest Scotland, the Scottish Highlands, and parts of northwest England. Wind gusts might reach 55 to 65 mph across northwestern Scotland, with potential for gusts of 75 to 80 mph in some places, particularly in exposed parts of the Western Isles and coastal northwest Scotland early on Wednesday morning.”
The winds will gradually diminish through Wednesday. As the week progresses, the weather will remain changeable, with drier and more stable conditions in the south and east, and the most unsettled conditions (wettest and windiest) expected in the northwest.
Temperatures are likely to stay mild or close to average for the time of year.
