In a display of true grit and commitment, ’s very own Sara Jones is setting the pace high, taking fundraising to unprecedented heights with her triple race challenge in 2023.

Sara is ready to hit the streets of Chester on October 8th, competing in the Metric Marathon, the most extended race in her tripartite endeavour. Her goal is no small feat; she’s racing to hit a lofty £1,000 target for her charity, bringing much-needed funds to Citizens Advice Flintshire.

Amassing a commendable total just north of £700, Sara is close to achieving her ambitious goal. With just one week left in September, the call to support Sara in her phenomenal effort resonates louder than ever.

In her heartfelt message, Sara expresses her profound gratitude for the continued support, emphasizing the critical role each donation plays in realizing the mission of the local charity. “Without you, my efforts are in vain,” Sara shares, underscoring the collective impact of community backing.

Having completed two out of the three races, Sara’s final challenge looms large, marking the most significant distance she has ever undertaken. Yet, her resolve remains unwavering, fueled by the generosity and encouragement showered by supporters and well-wishers.

As the countdown to the Chester Metric Marathon begins, Sara’s call to action echoes vibrant and clear – keep sharing her JustGiving page, continue showing unwavering support, and let’s help her cross the finish line, meeting or even exceeding the ‘slightly bonkers’ target.

Sara’s Just Giving Page states:

“In 2023 I have set myself a crazy challenge of running the Chester Triple series of runs 🤯 This consists of a 10km run in March, a half marathon in May and a metric marathon in October. Whilst I am not new to running the challenge for me is participating in events, which is seriously outside of my comfort zone. Also, the consistency of the training required to ensure I am ready for all of the runs will test my commitment over the year.”

“I am raising money for a brilliant local charity that offers free and confidential advice to residents of Flintshire. They can help with benefits and debt advice, housing and employment issues, as well as energy & consumer questions and much more besides.”

“Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.”
