UEFA has confirmed that S4C has secured exclusive UK free-to-air broadcast rights to show the Cymru Men’s National Team matches from 2022 to 2024.

As a result of the UEFA agreement, Cymru’s matches in the upcoming UEFA Nations League campaign and the European Qualifiers for EURO 2024 will be live on S4C.

Following the announcement, FAW Chief Executive Noel Mooney, said: “The Football Association of Wales is incredibly pleased to continue working with S4C on international football.

“The coverage that S4C provides is full of passion and represents on screen what we see from The Red Wall in the stands. We look forward to seeing a lot more of their fantastic coverage on our screens over the coming years.”

S4C Chief Executive, Sian Doyle, added: “We are thrilled that S4C will be the exclusive free-to-air home of the Wales men’s national football team, and we believe that this is fantastic news for Welsh football supporters and the Welsh language.

“This is a golden age for the Welsh national team and for the continued growth and development of the game it is key that supporters can enjoy their matches on free-to-air television.”

S4C’s exclusive free-to-air coverage begins on Wednesday, 1 June when Cymru go to Poland for their opening match in the UEFA Nations League.
