Police are investigating the theft of building equipment from the building site at Bodnant Junior School in Prestatyn.

Just before 10.40am on Sunday, October 25, two people gained entry into the site at the school on Nant Hall Road in a white transit van. Once inside, both individuals who were wearing high visibility jackets and white hard hats, removed six excavation buckets and a JIB for a telehandler.

The excavation buckets all had the word ‘Read’ welded upon them.

The transit van is not believed to have had any markings upon it.

PC 2625 Sarah Davies said:

“Many people pass the school site on their way into the town centre and therefore it’s possible that some motorists or residents living nearby may have seen the activity or witnessed the theft on Sunday morning. If so, please get in touch with me or my colleagues at Prestatyn. Similarly, we would like to hear from anyone who has information relating to the incident or may know of the whereabouts of the equipment to please get in touch with us on 101 quoting reference number RC15164028.”

Alternatively, individuals with information can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
