Flintshire County Council’s Chief Officer for Planning, Environment and Economy, Andrew Farrow, said:

“Flintshire Trading Standards officers worked with NWP on a rogue trader operation.

Doorstep crime is still a serious issue.  If you are cold called by any trader offering building or gardening work our advice is to say no to them and close the door.

If you are suspicious that work is required then contact a reputable builder and ask them to take a look to see if such work is required.

If you do not want cold callers at your door please contact FCC Trading Standards on 01352 703181 to request a No Cold calling sticker and we will post one out to you.”
