Flintshire Foodbank warns warehouse is “never been so empty”
Flintshire Foodbank has issued an urgent appeal, saying its warehouse has never been so empty.
The charity said: “We’re very worried. We have never seen our warehouse so empty, and now, we’re out of crucial items, such as fish and tinned vegetables that make up our three-day emergency food parcels.”
Flintshire Foodbank runs nine food bank sessions across the county every week, where people in crisis can get support.
The charity is appealing for donations of tinned fish, tinned peas, tinned spaghetti, tinned fruit and tinned or packet custard.
Flintshire Foodbank said:
“Our foodbank relies on your goodwill and support. We could not continue to support those in our community facing hunger without you.”
Donations can be made through the charity’s PayPal fundraiser, through Give Today, where shoppers can buy food that is delivered straight to the warehouse, or dropped off in person at collection points across the county.

Food bought and donated at Tesco or Asda collection points should have been purchased in that store.
Anything bought elsewhere and dropped off at a Tesco or Asda point should be sealed and clearly labelled as having been bought at a different shop.
