Jet2.com and Jet2holidays has announced a major expansion for their Summer Sun programme for 2025 from Liverpool John Lennon Airport.

In only their second summer of operations from the airport, the expansion boasts three brand-new routes, increased flight capacity, and a fifth aircraft dedicated to the airport.

The UK’s leading leisure airline and largest tour operator has now put 23 sunshine destinations on sale.

This includes the new routes to Malaga, Malta, and Reus, which together with increased capacity on other routes, signifies a massive expansion for Jet2’s second Summer Sun programme from Liverpool.

This expansion is backed by the addition of a fifth-based aircraft at Liverpool John Lennon Airport, ensuring an even greater array of choices for travellers during Summer ’25.

Along with the new routes, flights and holidays to popular sun-soaked destinations like the Canaries, Balearics, Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria, and Portugal are now on sale.

Jet2’s decision to introduce the programme is a direct response to increasing customer demand, with travellers eager to secure their Summer 2025 holidays.

The expansion means Jet2.com and Jet2holidays will be conducting nearly 70 departing weekly flights from Liverpool during the peak summer periods.

The CEO of Liverpool John Lennon Airport, John Irving, expressed his excitement: “We are all looking forward to our new partnership and welcoming Jet2.com and Jet2holidays customers for Summer 2024, and therefore absolutely delighted that Summer 2025 is now on sale too.”

He noted the addition of 14 more weekly departures, three new routes, and a fifth Jet2.com aircraft to be based in Liverpool.

Furthermore, Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, acknowledged the overwhelming response from customers and independent travel agents.

“Since announcing the launch from Liverpool John Lennon Airport, the response has been staggering,” said Heapy. He highlighted the company’s commitment to listening to customer feedback and responding with expanded offerings.

For travellers interested in learning more or making bookings, further details are available on the Jet2.com and Jet2holidays websites.
