Three arrests following a ‘disturbance’ in Pen y Maes Road, in Holywell

Police say they have arrested three men have in connection with an ‘incident’ in Pen y Maes Road, Holywell this afternoon.

Officers were called to a disturbance at 3.47pm they also say a female has been treated for minor injuries.

Due to police activity in the street we would ask motorists to avoid the area for the time being.

North Wales Police Temporary superintendent Nick Evans said;

I’d like to reassure people that there is no risk to members of the public in the area.

A spokeswoman for the Welsh Ambulance Service said:;

We were called by North Wales Police at 4.07pm.

A rapid response vehicle and an ambulance attended the scene.

An adult female has been taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd with minor injuries.

Around the same time as the incident in Holywell, North Wales and Cheshire armed alliance officers were arresting three men in Deeside.

Ryan sent us this picture at 4.21pm of police officers arresting the occupants of a red hatchback on the A548 Shotwick Road, near Deeside Industrial Park heading towards the A494 and the A550.

Police have not said if the two incidents are linked in any way.
